"This is a lightweight windbreaker that I got for my 12 year old son. It is lightweigt and perfect for layering. He is about 5'7" and I got him the men's medium which was just a little long in the sleeves for him. At $19.95 on sale and with my $10 off card it was an excellent buy!"

"If you are looking for a full-time, all conditions rain jacket, you may want to find something a little more substantial. If you are looking for a good light, packable rain jacket to throw in your backpack or dry bag just in case, this is a great option. "I was hoping for some insulation in this windbreaker and I was surprised to find that it had none.
I am planning to use this during my Alaska trip in July and I am not sure if it can withstand the elements."

"Put this windbreaker through rugged test yesterday as I drove my ATV on newly made backwoods trails. Many branches hanging along trail and I was concerned the fabric would rip and tear. Did not happen.. Not only was jackey warm and comfortable against the mid forty weather, it did a fantastic job shielding from the wind. Looking forward to wearing on golf course"

"I'd give it a 5 if it packed smaller. Fabric isn't silent, but not bad. Fit is roomy which i need here on lake superior. Seems well made and the working parts to be durable. If it can do a decent job in slightly wet weather it's worth the money over some cheap product."

"I usually don't like to order things online, but with LL Bean, you are pretty much guarenteed to love what you purchase. I ordered the Casco Bay Windbreaker, and when it arrived, I put it on immediately to see if I liked it. I have purchased windbreakers before from other places, but none can compare with this lightweight pullover. I've worn it twice lately and it does great even in the winter! It keeps me warm and blocks out the wind very well. I would wholeheartedly recommend this windbreaker to anyone who wants a lightweight, nice looking jacket."

"I had been looking in retail shops to replace an old, cherished windbreaker -- we had jogged and walked many miles together but it had seen better days. Even runner shops didn't have what I was looking for. Then my wife, as she so often does, pointed me in the right direction: "Did you look at LLBean? I had not, and so I did. When I found the Casco Bay windbreaker/pullover it was love at first sight. It's been the perfect, water-repellent replacement for my old windbreaker. We're on the road together almost every day."

"Bought this to replace my old zip anorak that got lost on an airplane. They changed the material. This one is lighter, more shiney and more slippery than the other. It will do the job and stuffs nicely into it's stow pocket as a travel pillow but doesn't feel as durable. Time will tell."

"I bought the man's size L because I wanted a pullover windbreaker and that is not offered in women's apparel. The sleeves are nice and long while the fit is a bit narrower than expected. Not sure if a women's jacket would have a different fit. Can't find out, so won't worry about it."

"I was looking to replace a Nylon Shell that I had purchased at L.L. Bean a few years back but has since been discontinued. I wanted something that was very lightweight and packable to take on trips where weather could be very unpredictable. I believe the Casco Bay Windbreaker will do the job well. A very good value!"

"We took our new jackets to Maryland for a visit and they were just enough to keep us warm in 27 degree weather with our other layers, yet not too hot going in and out of stores. Really liked how packable they were as we just used two carry-on suitcases."
