"My Christmas instruction to my daughter was, "Don't need anything ... especially sweaters." So she got me this:-) Glad she did.
Pro -- Very cozy ... nice trim fit ... the lining makes it pre-layered ... and it seems to have a Teddy Bear quality - i.e., I got way more holiday hugs after I put it on.
Con -- None, really. Maybe, since it's a half zip, the pocket could go all the way across."

"My husband and I just returned to Pennsylvania from Miami to be near our grandson. My husband has been freezing. I got this wonderful sweater for him for Christmas. He LOVES it!!! "Although it's a bit of a chore getting the Sherpa Sweater over my big head, once on it fits like a comfortable glove -- form fitting without being too tight. There's plenty of room for a flannel shirt, and topped with a fleece vest, the Sherpa Sweater keeps me nice & toasty in 48-degree weather, and quite fashionable, too."

"THE sweater to end all sweaters!
The previous reviews that this sweater is heavy is spot on. It's HEAVY! It's so thick you'll look like you've been hitting the gym.
If you want a thick, insulative sweater for frigid Nordic winters, Alaska crab fishing or cold castles, this is it.
The fit and finish is LL Bean superb.
The inside of this merino sweater is made of cozy. sofffft ~100-150 weight fleece (non-bonded) and the merino thickness is also of good weight. This thick yarn merino feels softer than lambswool sweaters but not close to the cashmere feel.
It came with a "dirtish" smell so a wash is in order.
The non-fleece lined pockets are small and not made for storing anything substantial aside of one's hands from a cold wind. They could have been bigger or taken out entirely for a more streamlined look.
The neck size on my XL is comfortably snug (with yummy fleece on your neck) and not big where your neck is swimming.
The XL sleeves are long enough on my 6'4" frame , but wish it came in ***TALL sizes*** to reduce the chest bulk--I'm usually a Large Tall. I also wish the sleeve cuff was more snug--it's open like a jacket cuff...but I'm being picky now."

"The sizing was big. I ordered my usual LARGE. I returned it for a MEDIUM. This baby has it all. A thick and soft fleece inside with a thick and warm outside wool. It's heavy!! Kind of like the weight you feel when you throw a big quilt around your shoulders. This sweater is built for warmth!!!"
