My husband finally located a Jones Stlye Hat on LLBean's web-site. He loves the Jones Style Hats. I purchased one for him for Christmas. I had to return that hat as it had a flaw, but received a replacement in time for Christmas. He likes the style and color and the Gor-Tex, but the hat stands up too high on the head. Jones Style Hats made out of other fabric do not stand so high on the head. Other than that, we were happy to have found the hats again and ordered another one as well for a friend.
This is exactly what I was expecting in a hunting hat. It's warm, waterproof and better than the one I hunted with 20 years ago. Can't ask for a better hat for upland hunting than this.
I have been unable to find a Jones Style Hat to replace my old one until now. Thank you for carrying this style. The brim keeps snow, rain and sun off my neck. The flaps keep me warm when folded down over my ears.
Have always liked the flexibility of a Jones hat, needed an orange one for grouse and pheasant hunting and, frankly this is the only one I could find - so glad I did - very happy with it - very warm so good for late season hunting and kind of soft, flexible so when I get too warm, can crunch it up and stuff it easily in my vest - and looks to be well made so should last my lifetime.
