When my son and his wife came to visit, I had the opportunity to use the cot and it provided several nights of very sweet, comfortable sleep. That could be due to my children being there, but the cot deserves the credit, as well. It folds in half with the mattress included and stores nicely.
I bought this cot in mid Dec to provide sleeping space for holiday company. It was delivered promptly and easy to set up and take down and folds up into a reasonably small package for storage. But most importantly, it is a very comfortable cot on which to sleep. I have tried it out on several nights since our company left and find it nearly as comfortable as my pillow-top mattress. And since it appears to be durable as well as comfortable, I consider it well worth the price of $99.
We purchased two of these cots before LL Bean had a web site, i.e., from the paper catalog. I'm not sure exactly when that was, but it was probably 25-30 years ago. We have used them for camping and for guests all this time. Talk about a field test! Our cots passed with flying colors. They are durable, comfortable, safe, useful, easy to use, and a good deal. One house guest said he was going to get a new bed for his home after sleeping on the cot because for the first time in years his back did not hurt in the morning! We plan to do more camping in the next several years and would not go without these cots. This is a great product and I am grateful every morning when I peek out of the tent and greet the sunrise without pain.
I just received this for guests to sleep on instead of my expensive aero bed that loses air although I cannot find a leak and its just out of warranty. Folds and unfolds easily. The mattress cover is nice and the foam seems comfortable, although no one has slept on it yet. I would say its a good buy for the money.
