My family and I use this cot for kids having sleep-overs in our cabin and it has worked just fine for the kids (12 years and younger). The cot is not suitable for adults. Its size is adequate but the springs were always too weak and after having been used four or five times the springs lost their resillency and were even more uncomfortable. The mattress is too thin, adults can feel the springs through the mattress. I tried adding another mattress on top of the original one but the sagging still made the cot uncomfortable. A better, more functional design would have slats rather than springs and a thicker mattress.
I bought this to have an extra bed on hand for my grandaughter since she has moved to her "big girl" bed. But, it is so comfortable I may use it on the screened in porch on those hot summer nights. Very stable, too.
We received our Swedish folding cot a few weeks ago and already it has been put into use when my daughter had a friend sleep over. The cot solves a major problem for us - keeping the guests higher off the floor. Prior to owning this cot we had an inflatable bed which involved tedious set up before guests' arrival and guests slept close to the floor. The cot's mattress is firm, it sleeps approximately 3 feet from the ground and is actually quite attractive. My husband has even recommended it to several folks who have second homes in Maine since it folds up well and can be easily stored.
This does not disappoint! Non-squeaky, comfy and cozy...the perfect cot. Good size, good height, good weight and no issues whatsoever. I'm glad I found it!
