Based on all the great reviews for this cot, I thought I'd have a winner. Turned out not to be the case. I bought this bed for guests to use, but I don't think I will have anyone except maybe a child sleep on it. After sleeping on it one night, I woke up with back pain the next day. I'm used to a firm mattress and it sinks in the middle. I'm about 150 lbs and below the weight limit so I would have thought there'd be better support. Not sure if all the other reviews are written by people who like soft mattresses. I've slept on air mattresses that were more comfortable. If you had to choose between a double high air mattress and this cot, I'd go for the air mattress.
Also, it'd be nice if the cot came with a cover. I bought a full size mattress bag to put it in for storage.
I just rec'd my shipment and opened up the box in the driveway. I decided to lay upon the cot to see if it was comfortable and I almost fell asleep...VERY comfortable and not "skinny" in width like other camp cots. No squeaks! BEST xtra bed I have ever bought and I may splurge for another and ditch the old back breaker we have had for years....definitely worth the $$. Very compact when closed up so that will be good for storage.
I bought two of these six years ago. We mostly use it in the summer for our summer house. It has gotten a lot of use and they are still new. I wanted to buy two more last summer but, I couldn't find the receipt, thank God that I found the web-site today and just purchased two more. I recommend them to all my friends.
This Swedish Folding Cot is nice and large and in my opinion as comfortable as a regular bed. I use a folding cot on a regular basis, travel and at home. I've had the big box ones that sell for around $60. and made by a big name camping manufacture but this cot has the others beat hands down. Well made, very comfortable, and I will never go back to the other brands out there. Worth the extra money, and happy as heck with the purchase. I'm 64 years old by the way, so if my old bones like it, a younger person will love it. 5 Stars
