I had ordered the same type of pant from another company, and I can't tell you how much warmer and better constructed the Bean pair was - excellent! I sent the other pair back. Thanks Bean - you will keep me warm on long winter hikes...
Even though these are men's pants, the straight cut is flattering on a woman, too. I added 20 to my normal pants size and got a great fit, in a great fabric, nice enough for a casual workplace. Even if your winter outdoor "sports" are limited to walking the dog and slogging across freezing windswept parking lots, these pants make the task downright comfortable--no freezing involved! And no dry cleaning bill, either!
I love the loose cut of these pants and the high quality of the seams. I'm a little leery of the single button staying on as it seems to dangle. I may restrengthen the threads myself but that's the only possible negative I can see long term. The real plus is the ability to wash vs. dry clean. As usual, great quality from Beans!
