My husband wanted an Xlarge but when I looked at the sizing I talked him into a large. It fit perfectly but go with the measurements. They are true to size. I also had read other reviews for products that said the cut was 'generous'. I am so happy we got the large. The fabric is great. Light but much more substantial than some of these 'moisture wicking' shirts. All in all, we are super pleased. Also great color.
My husband loves the other two shirts in Blue and the Sage. The current purchase of Pewter is not any where close to the others. Wrinkles do not come out (washed twice to get packaged wrinkles out) at all. Permanent wrinkles along with being very stiff. Should not be represented as the same type of fabric. Runs on the larger side. Don't buy the pewter.
These are about the fifth and sixth shirts of this type I've purchased from L.L. Bean over the last 6 years. Other than t shirts, this is what I wear during warm weather. The roll up sleeves are important to me as a 66 year old who likes to be outside, but have to watch out for overexposure to sun! The colors are great and they are reasonably cool in hot weather. Sizing is excellent in today's guessing game of buying on the internet. I own several other cheaper shirts of this type, but I became so dissatisfied I opted for the quality I know I can depend on L.L.Bean for and I'm not disappointed!
