Great Shirt, Lightweight Breathable, UV Protection

I purchased this shirt for an off shore fishing trip, when I was a little younger I’d been out in shorts and a tee shirt but in my old age I have to take a drug that makes me burn easily. The shirt was great lightweight, breathable and cool. I purchased a pair of their Tropic-Weight Chino pants wear with them. This is the first long sleeved shirt that I’ve bought in over 40 years. I’d definitely buy it again…. Oh and my boy, his bride and I limited out on Red Snapper, 6 fish 48 Lbs, out of Saint Andrews Bay, Panama City Beach Florida. ;=)
Bought this on a whim. Really like it. Very light weight and comfortable. A friend of mine who always has opinions on clothes volunteered that it was a great looking shirt. I'd buy more of these. Not sure what the velcro tab is for that is above the left pocket but it can be a discussion starter.
This shirt has interesting properties: it protects wearer from the sun and the sleeves can be rolled up and buttoned in place. The material of which it is made is not cotton and is hot. In addition, the sizing is different from other L.L.Bean shirts. I bought this shirt for golf. But the use of pique polo shirts with short sleeves and the application of liberal amounts of sunscreen is far more comfortable.
I now have four travel shirts. They are comfortable and can be worn long sleeve - even on a hot sunny day. Reduces the need for sun block. Wish you had more colors available. The stripes are not desirable.
