Our son loved this shirt which he wore in 100 to 106 degree temperatures in Cambodia and Vietnam. Besides being comfortable to wear in such heat, the shirt always looked great. The shirt was also very easy to launder and dried quickly. The best was that our fashion conscious son was very happy that we purchased the shirt for him.
Great shirt. Good looking, comfortable. I am on the water all the time and these are the shirts that I prefer to wear.
I just wish that the LL Bean label wasn't prominently featured on the front of the shirt. I would prefer that it did not appear anywhere except inside the collar.
I bought this shirt to wear to Louisiana for a June 4th fishing trip. I purchased it for a lot of reasons, main ones being to protect me from the blazing sun, which it did, and to provide a comfortable wear during a long day of fishing which it also did. I completely trashed this shirt. It was covered in a lot of fish blood and slime, along with a lot of salt water spray. It was absolutely properly broke in! When i arrived back at my hotel I took it off, tossed it in a pile on the bathroom floor and left it there until I bagged it and hauled it home still unwashed after 3 days of sitting and festering! Once home I threw it in the wash with other fishing clothes, pulled it out and dried it and.............not a blood stain one! Unbelievable! This is one tough shirt that lives up to the hype. It has retained a slight fishy smell, but hey its a fishing shirt! The color is off from the advertisement however i don't feel it is an "unmanly" color. I would wear this shirt anywhere, especially if heat, mugginess or scorching sunlight were the order of the day. One word of advice for all future trips, if one is looking to fish the tropics, this type of shirt is most appropriate. However if one is looking to fish saltwater marshes or to be involved in a trip where a significant harvest is to take place, as I did, the captains may shake their heads a little as you board, if you are wearing a certain type of "brand X" shirt that one will more than likely wear once and once only...........instead of a t-shirt. Food for thought. E.
