L L Bean cotton shirts, including the wrinkle-free, are much cooler than this synthetic oven. Today, it is 92 degrees and long sleeves are essential here in the swamp. If you seek a long sleeve, straight hem, "sport" shirt that's cool, this isn't it.
I purchased one of these long sleeve Tropicware shirts and was very pleased....so I ordered several more. Despite being the same inventory number, the subsequently ordered shirts were NOT THE SAME. They were made of a thinner, lighter fabric which allows more sunlight to pass through. And the back cape overlapped the mesh by much less, which in certain leaning body positions would expose a small portion of the mesh to sunlight and allow it to your skin.
My first shirt (the very nice one) was made in Thailand. The thinner fabric ones were made in Honduras. According to Customer Service, all currently sold units are made in Honduras.
Good shirt, but I wish it did not have the LL Bean name emblazoned above the left pocket. I don't feel the need for my clothes to inform everyone who sees me of the manufacturer's name. That really looks tacky to me.
