Great light weight shirt. Lots of features. Wish I had of found this shirt prior to my trip to southeast asia this past spring. Similar shirts that arent a good fit are almost twice the price. Too bad the clay color on the wesite is not representative of the actual shirt at all. Much much lighter in actuality. I am going to order another shirt of a different color and hope for the best. My son tried on mine immediately and he wants one too!
I thought the shirt fit great and the fabric was comfortable....worked well in Hawaii. After washing, a light ironing would be best but not necessary if you're in travel mode. My BIGGEST complaint are the pockets. It turns out I'm not fond of the Velcro fasteners. Even with empty pockets the Velcro seems to rarely line up properly, and when there is something in the pocket they never line up and look sloppy. I will return the two I ordered and look for a similar shirt with a buttoned flap pocket. OH, a slot for a pen would be nice!
These shirts are remarkable. I have long been an adherent to natural fabrics for shirts, (cotton and wool), but since buying two of these shirts I have become welcome to new advances. These shirts work both as stand-alone shirts on hot days and layered options on temperate and cold days. I have hand laundered and air dried them as well as machine washed and dried them, and they come out virtually wrinkle-free. When wearing them, people have commented on the cool fishing shirt. As I don’t fish, I accept the praise and enthuse about the breathability. For those who complain about the LLBean logo, I agree: would that we lived in a “logo-less” world. I suggest trying to find a shirt like this without a stitched logo.
By the way, I use the “fishing rod” Velcro tab for a GPS device when doing geocaching with my iPod Touch.
