I have been wearing LLBEAN Medium size shirts for over 40 years. This shirt is not a size medium. I am not sure what size it is. It may have fit me if I had a 48 in waste and 24 inch sleeve length. The chest was about right, corner of shoulder dropped down my arms about 3 inches, and the sleeves came up from my wrists about 6 inches. Some one goofed. I ordered the chili color from catalog, it fit as I described. I returned it to local LLBEAN store and tried on a blue one. It fit the same. I do not recommend you buy this shirt.
I have been buying these for years. I practically live in them and have for 20+ years. They are very comfortable and I am still wearing some from almost 20 years ago, so they hold up very well other than resewing a button on rare occasions. The sizes are not very consistent though. These newest size large run a bit larger than did some previous versions, not tent-like, but definitely a bit larger than I prefer. The mediums don't have enough room through the back and shoulders for me though, so I am sticking with the large. The cloth on this newest iteration is also a bit stiffer (not as soft in hand) as were previous versions.
Owner of two identical shirts purchased years ago. This one came in WAY to large in body size and sleeve length. Returned same for a Medium and found it to small in in body size and sleeve length. I actually believe the Large may have been mis-tagged. Customer Service is always outstanding in response.
Love the shirt except: the button holes were so tight that I had to cut them slightly larger to make the shirt useable. Tried to tell LLB the problem and didn't get far. First real problem with Beans since my first purchase in 1941. Ordered a replacement and it had the same problem, so sent it back.
