I previously owned shirts from another company. Just returned from a hot and humid Sicily. Llbean shirt was superior in comfort to what I previously owned. I will not go back
I travel light. I can go 3 weeks with just a roll on duffel bag. I micromanage my clothing as a result. I bring no more than three shirts. Each night I wash that day's shirt in the hotel sink. Hang it anywhere and it will dry within 3 to 4 hours; bone dry. It is comfortable and practical with large pockets and the ability to convert it into a short sleeve. I just bought two more.
I thought the shirt would be lighter than it was. It seemed too heavy for the specific use and I did not like the poofy pockets. I don't really use shirt pockets but I was hoping they would be less prominent when I got the shirt. I returned it the day I got it. I found an excellent shirt that fit my particular needs - hiking in the heat, sun protection, wicking, light, ventilated, very comfortable - Columbia silver ridge. Much less expensive as well. I liked it so much I got a 2nd one, the "lite" version in another color. I have a ton of LLBean products and they are my go-to for most things, but this one didn't cut it for me.
