I need to be very careful about sun exposure (melanoma survivor), but I'd like to minimize the mount of sunscreen I need to use. These are nice looking comfortable shirts, and do the job admirably. They are very tightly woven synthetic fabric, and don't breath as well as cotton, but that's probably the price to pay for UPF 50. I'll probably get more.
A couple of nits, though. I'd much rather have buttons on the pockets rather than Velcro. A greater range of colors would also be nice.
Absolutely LOVE these shirts! With these shirts and a pair of cargo pants or shorts I rarely take my fanny or small pack on short hikes. From the Great Barrier Reef to the Cooke Mt. Glacier in southern New Zealand over 23 days these shirts were on! Wash in sink overnight, if needed, as they repel dirt and most foods extremely well and are dry the next morning. And look fine, no ironing for me! They do not hold odors, that I can detect. Passport, credit cards, phone/camera fit and secure well in chest pockets. The loop above the left pocket kept my reading glasses very handy. Unfortunately for Bean these shirts are so great for me that only two of them were all I really needed for the whole trip, though I now own five! WONDERFUL PRODUCT!!!
I wear this shirt when I am out walking in the outdoors. It fits nice and has a lot of room. I would like to see different type of flap for the pockets as I care pad and pen for note taking. Still a great shirt.
