"I am very pleased with this tote. I use it to carry my yoga gear to and from the studio. It is super sturdy and well made. The zipper is strong and glides easily. I only wish it had pockets on the inside and maybe an outside pocket or two."

"I ordered the medium and it was smaller than I thought it would be. Initially, I was upset. I got it to put my lunch in and my small purse. I found out I am able to put a lot more in, as well. So now I am liking it a lot. I got the zip top which I always use and that makes it seem bigger. I am thinking about getting a large one in the spring to use at farmers markets since this has the lining. This is a good sturdy, attractive bag."

Just What I was Hunting For!,

"I was looking for something to replace a canvas briefcase I had been using to take odds and ends to work. I liked the fact that this product was zippered and waterproof. I ordered the medium, as it was closest in size to what I had been using. When it arrived, I was afraid I should have ordered a larger tote. Then I tried it out, loading in a folder of assorted papers, a book, my iPod, badge, smoothie and a few drinks for the day, and they all fit fine - in fact, they fit better than they did in the old case. An added bonus is that it's very cute (I ordered the camouflage). I am thrilled with this purchase!"

"I have LL Bean totes that I know are over 20 years old, so I expected good quality, but this bag is much more. The ex-large lets me put all my birding gear, rain suit, optics, lunch cooler, field guides in one bag. I'm going to add a smaller size to use when I need to travel lighter. I love that everything stays dry. I seldom go out with it without needing to tell someone, "LL Bean: look under waterfowl hunting." There should be a birders' gear category."

"I know a lot of men buy this bag but I'm a wife/mom and LOVE this bag(I have the 4D Max color to match my 4D Max coat - hey it's fun to be fashionably coordinated!) My family and I camp and fish regularly and this is the ideal bag for trecking back and forth from the camper to the boat with everything everyone needs. Super heavy duty and the fact that it's water proof is awesome. When my husband saw it he said "and where is your bag?" haha This is on the list for future Christmas/birthday gifts for sure."

"I am fortunate to have these zip-top bags in sz. Large and XLarge. They are Great Travel bags. They are sturdy, light, and much less expensive than "big name" bags. Whether spending time fishing or visiting Broadway plays - these are GREAT travel bags. Suggestion: make these with shoulder strap attach loops - for hands free option !!!"

"L. L. Bean totes have been my regular grocery bags for over 30 years. The Hunter's Tote is even more utilitarian. Easy to clean, it's my go-to bag for everything from dressed-out game birds to demi-baguettes and wine. The material is tough and light. "I've had one of the medium bags for several years now-- it looks like new. The fabric is durable, and it cleans up well, inside and out.
It's perfect for daily use and as a small carry-on (I've managed to go away for the weekend-- by plane, bus, and train-- with the medium bag and just a small bag for reading material and other essentials). I'm planning on buying the large zip-top for slightly longer trips (but still within carry-on limits). I'm happy it's finally offered in black!"
