I don't like giving 5 stars - makes it look like a gimme review... Had to make an exception in this case. Although I am not overly enthused with the color, whatever negative feelings I have about the color are blown away by the utility, quality, and usefulness of this bag It is essentially waterproof, zips closed, and is extremely well made. Makes for a great go bag for most anything from handguns/ammo/food/ you name it. Cleans easy,and makes a great grab-stuff-and go bag. Like the old Timex commercial... Takes a licking and keeps on ticking...
Upon first review, I was a little disappointed in the size, but there are measurements on the description, so that's my fault. I ordered the medium, but it does hold more that it looks. The canvas is heavy, liner seems durable, and the handles are thick. I've packed it up for short trips w/ family, but nothing 'outdoorsy' yet. I would recommend as a tote that doesn't look like you stole it from your wife.
Purchased in Medium Camouflage and use as a gym bag here in NYC. It is a perfect size and can fit shoes of any kind, including boots, a change of clothing, and toiletries with room to spare. I am a 5'4" 110lb woman and can easily hang this bag on my shoulder and its size looks practical and reasonable, not too big at all. Love the rectangular bottom and the sturdy structure so it stays put when resting on the ground and looks trim and clean hanging off your arm or shoulder, not bulky or jammed with stuff, even tho it is! $29 well spent. (LL Bean can you just add ONE interior pocket pretty please?)
