I'm pretty tough on my bags and when purchasing one for Gym I wanted something that would withstand being tossed in and out of the car, cope with the occasional spill and something that wouldn't be too bulky in a locker.
This bag is all that and more.
I couldn't be happier with my bag. Spills aren't an issue, it's not too bulky and it is such fantastic quality that it will continue to look like new for years.
(I should mention that I live in Australia and even with delivery it was very reasonably priced.)
This is a great bag. I'm a fashion student that commutes from the suburbs of Philadelphia into the city every day. I needed a bag that was reasonably priced and that could stand up to the harsh, ever-changing PA weather as well as the dirty, disgusting public transportation.
Of course, I'm concerned with aesthetics, and this bag doesn't disappoint. Clean, simple design with no bells and whistles (I'm still a little confused about the plastic pieces near the zipper and outside; I'm guessing that they have hunting significance) offered in three great colors. I have to carry around a laptop and other expensive equipment, and I felt confident toting them around in this; after being stuck in plenty of rainstorms, not once did anything inside even get damp. The fabric survived countless train rides and general college student negligence.
It would be great if there could be some sort of internal pocket for smaller items. I realize it's mainly used for hunting/storing large things, but a smaller pocket would be swell for maps or something of that sort. I could also put pens and whatnot in there.
Nevertheless, this is an amazing bag, incredibly priced, that looks great and functions just as well. An absolute must-buy from Bean.
This awesome tote exceeded my expectations as soon as I opened it out of the box. I knew the moment I opened it up that it would be able to withstand the beating my son will give it this summer at camp (and then some). I'm sure my son will be ready for a different color before he's worn this tough tote out. Thanks L.L. Bean for proving that not everything we buy these days is just flimsy junk!!
