I have LL Bean totes that I know are over 20 years old, so I expected good quality, but this bag is much more. The ex-large lets me put all my birding gear, rain suit, optics, lunch cooler, field guides in one bag. I'm going to add a smaller size to use when I need to travel lighter. I love that everything stays dry. I seldom go out with it without needing to tell someone, "LL Bean: look under waterfowl hunting." There should be a birders' gear category.
I know a lot of men buy this bag but I'm a wife/mom and LOVE this bag(I have the 4D Max color to match my 4D Max coat - hey it's fun to be fashionably coordinated!) My family and I camp and fish regularly and this is the ideal bag for trecking back and forth from the camper to the boat with everything everyone needs. Super heavy duty and the fact that it's water proof is awesome. When my husband saw it he said "and where is your bag?" haha This is on the list for future Christmas/birthday gifts for sure.
I am fortunate to have these zip-top bags in sz. Large and XLarge. They are Great Travel bags. They are sturdy, light, and much less expensive than "big name" bags. Whether spending time fishing or visiting Broadway plays - these are GREAT travel bags. Suggestion: make these with shoulder strap attach loops - for hands free option !!!
