L. L. Bean totes have been my regular grocery bags for over 30 years. The Hunter's Tote is even more utilitarian. Easy to clean, it's my go-to bag for everything from dressed-out game birds to demi-baguettes and wine. The material is tough and light. The camo pattern has shown no signs of fading despite exposure to direct sunlight.
I've had one of the medium bags for several years now-- it looks like new. The fabric is durable, and it cleans up well, inside and out.
It's perfect for daily use and as a small carry-on (I've managed to go away for the weekend-- by plane, bus, and train-- with the medium bag and just a small bag for reading material and other essentials). I'm planning on buying the large zip-top for slightly longer trips (but still within carry-on limits). I'm happy it's finally offered in black!
I bought the camo bag for my 10 yr old son. Perfect for packing weekend stuff, clothes, games, etc. The rubberized lining is perfect ~ no worrying about cleaning canvas. Great buy, would absolutely recommend. I would love to see this bag in more colors.
