I was very pleased with this bag. Its material is strong and it is built well. I bought it to carry my exercise weights and it is perfect for the job. Only downside is that the zipper can be a little hard to get working, but maybe it will loosen up with use.
Just purchased my third large black tote--love the zip top. Love the monogram. Handles extreme weight; keeps its shape. Can set down on wet surface or in snow--items inside, especially on the bottom stay dry. Would love if LLBean added one or two pockets--glad to pay a little more for pocket(s). Or maybe sell separately several sizes of zipper packets out of same tote material--we could buy as needed to place inside our totes. Thanks LLBean for a great product.
I am so torn on this. I LOVE this bag. The color is great, the quality is great, the zipper is strong, and it has a great lining that makes it waterproof.
I have the large tote however, and the handles are just too short for it. The bag fits alot, which is awesome, but as a result, gets really heavy, and the short straps only allow for it to be carried by hand (versus on the shoulder.) If it had the longer straps it would be perfect, but i am contemplating switching to the boat and tote, which i think is inferior in a lot of ways, in order to get the all-important longer strap.
