I wanted to love these pants but they are an odd fit at the waist. They have elastic waist and just don't feel like they will stay up. I had my daughter try them on and she said the same thing. They are a skinny fit which I wanted but they were too tight on my calves. I am 5'6 and 110, but I have the problem with tight calves in skinny jeans too. I thought these pants would be more forgiving. These have to go back at my expense of shipping, too bad though.
Bought for xc skiing because they were well priced compared with the competition. Good fit for activity; could even wear running and biking. Warm but not windproof- easy to remedy with underwear on cold days. Don't get wet with tumbles in the snow. Fabric wears as expected. Only problem is shrinkage in the wash despite following instructions, turning a neat fit into a skinny fit with loss of leg length not corrected with stretching.
These cross country skiing/snowshoe shoe walking pants were much too long for me (I ordered a medium size as most everything I wear is a medium.). While they may be good for medium to intensely active winter exercise enthusiastics, they just did not fit me or were they as wind resistant and moisture repellant as advertised.
The pants are a little more tapered at the ankles than I like, but overall these seem to be great pants. They are warm and wind resistant. I have not had them out in the rain or snow yet so I can't comment on their water resistance.
