These pants are one step above pure shell pants and are great for snow shoeing when the temps are really low. You won't need them all the time, but they are a great addition to the line up. I also anticipate wearing them skiing when you need something to use between super cold days and spring skiing.
I bought these for snowshoeing in Northern Maine for warmth, comfort and ease of entry. They perform perfectly in all of those aspects. I am pleased with this product.
