Original material designed by/for Bill Koch, Olympian cross country skier and made by SportHill. Then the pant went out of production for many years. I was elated to find them produced again. They are hands down the best pant for any active cold weather sport. Skiing, biking, running etc.. My original pair are over 15 years old. If active they are good without layers to 10 degrees and release heat on the warmer days. The fit on the new pant is looser than original. You will not go wrong with this product.
I purchased these Sporthill Wintersport Pants for my husband for winter running. He thought they were too pricey, even on sale. When he tried them during a bitter cold snap, he was sold. They were comfortably warm without additional layers, they have a water-resistant finish, and they look great!
While it's been a crazy mild winter, there have been enough subzero morning bike commutes to give these pants a good trial. Definitely too warm for high activity above ~35F, but below freezing with wind they're amazing. Warm without being overdone, just by themselves. More comfy (physically and psychologically) than spandex tights into the workplace.
I'm 6'0", 155lb, around 33" inseam pants. Regular length of these was too short, exchanged for the talls and they fit great.
