We are a northern MN xc skiing family and all 4 of us have these pants. Can't live without them. They're also great for colder season running, hiking, and general outdoor activity. On very cold ski days (5-15 degrees, common here in northern Minnesota) some of us wear our medium weight long underwear underneath these pants to stay extra warm. We can still ski hard, perspire, and stay warm. These pants have lasted a very long time for us, 5+ years so far, despite repeated washings. I just bought a pair for my 15 yr. old son. He loves them.
Great pants for skiing or shoveling the snow. Extremely comfortable and fit great! The only down side is that they are magnets for pet hair. Other than that, I love them.
Fit on the Large is tight but not uncomfortable (I'm 5'9" and 195 lbs). Wore with long underwear and these pants kept my temp well-regulated, warm but not overheated...they wicked away the sweat while xc skiing. Zip pockets on either side are a nice feature to hold car keys. Plan to also use them for snowshoeing and maybe downhill skiing.
Replaced an old set of stretch pants with this one; comfortable, not as resistant to cold as claimed - so I still need long johns underneath. But they fit well and the size guide was perfect.
