My adult son wears these pants 3 seasons. Alone or as a winter layer. I bought these for my nephew (30) for a winter layer snowboarding or working outside. Terrific.
I found the sizing guidance to be off. I am 5' 11". The sizing guidance indicated that regular should fit people from 5' 8" to 6'. I bought the Medium, Regular first. It was three inches too short. I then bought the Large, Regular. That was two inches too short. Sizing guidance Looks like I should have gotten the Tall, Large. I already spent over $300 on the first two. Am unlikely to buy a third. Also, the material is a fur magnet. I have three white dogs. The dog hair sticks to the pants. I look like I was tarred and feathered. Something to be aware of if you have dogs. I do like the pockets, the warmth, the elastic waist band, and the fact that you can still be comfortable in light rain and in temperatures down to the high twenties.
I got these for outdoor walks of around 4 miles in cold (10F-35F), windy weather. They are amazing! The fabric is much softer and thicker than I expected. Think somewhere in-between tights and sweats (but of course, wind resistant). Incredibly comfortable and with the exception of the center seam in the leg, appear as regular slacks. There is a raised seam down the front of each leg, which give them a rugged, purpose built-appearance. If not for that, I'd wear them while not exercising. Very happy with these pants, but I only expect to use them in the coldest weather. Pricy, but I value being able to get outdoors and exercise in cold weather.
