These pants are perfect for our winters in Chicago, warm, water resistant, but breathable- great for chasing after the kids outdoors, walking the dog or snow shoeing. Really exceeds expectations.
Great pants for cold weather walking. The wind does not penetrate the pants and although I am not "toasty" warm I am comfortable enough to walk 5 or 6 miles in extremely cold and blustery conditions.
He has been wearing these pants non-stop outdoors since they arrived as we have had storm after storm here in New England. They are very comfortable and keep him warm.
I bought these primarily for XC skiing, snowshoeing, and walking the dog on snowy days. So far I've only used them for dog walks in bad weather, but I think they'll work fine for other winter activities. Order size carefully based on waist size. These seem designed for tall, slender people. I needed a larger size than I normally take.
