I ordered these Wintersport pants for my husband (age 57) who uses them to run in...he really likes them. They are light-weight, but warm. We occasionally have some cold, damp winter weather even in Georgia. We found the size to be accurate (in length and all around) and typical good Bean quality. Would recommend these for any wintersport activity.
Seems to be durable and well made. My only comment iis that the sizing instructions are inexplicit. I hah to send the original order back for a larger size as the fit was extremely tight.
I wore my Wintersports Pants for the first time today in 6 below chill factor and heavy snow while I cleared my driveway. I was outside over an hour and and I was as "as snug as a bug in a rug." They kept me very warm and dry and are very comfortable.
I am an avid hiker and for years I either wore a pair of hiking pants with long johns or Johnson woolies. This year I decided I wanted to lighten up and found these excellent pants. I am 6' 1" and 215 lbs. I can pinch more than an inch at my waistline. I ordered the XL tall pants and find they fit comfortably with no stretching and enough length to pull down over my hiking boots and keep the snow out. I first used them in a hike in 50 degree weather and they were extremely comfortable and I did not overheat. The most previous hike was in the upper 20's and I was warm and dry throughout the hike. I am very happy with this purchase.
