The picture of the pants is misleading. It appears to be a normal overpant suitable for several winter activities. In fact the pants are virtual tights, very clinging with no usable pockets.
Great winter pants!! I am very impressed how warm & dry they keep you, even though the material is lightweight. What more could you ask for? I woulld definitely recommend.
Based on the reviews I ordered these pants for my tall and skinny son who refuses to dress for the weather but needed snow pants. I ordered the medium tall for christmas figuring he is super skinny so a medium would do with the TALL length (he is 6'2), but upon arrival they looked WAY too small in every direction so I returned them for the large tall and they are perfect. Perfect on their own or with layers beneath but be aware that they are cut very tight and the tall is not super 'tall'. I would recommend them FOR SURE as I tried them out as well and I was shocked. I am always cold no matter what, but not with these. So, order them larger than you think you need and order a 'tall' if you are 5'7" and above. You will never buy another pair of snow pants - well unless you like your pants bulky - these are 'form fitting'. And my son actually wears them alot!
These pants are great for cross country skiing. I went skiing when it was -8 degrees and was warm as could be. They're light, look great, and really breath yet keep you very warm.
