The materials is very thin compared to the other fleece balaclava I own. In my opinion, I think it is only going to be useful to block the wind and because the material is very thin, I am hesitant to even use it. I am very disappointed because LL Bean makes wonderful outdoor wear.
Besides the great color for being in the woods during hunting season, it is warm, cozy, and fits nicely. It bunches a bit around the neck so that a scarf is unnecessary. The best part are the cords, which are adjustable, so that you can shape it to fit your size, and the requirements of the weather. Both the size of the face opening and the snugness of the garment around the back of the head/neck can be easily modified. Good price too.
