This replaced a LL Bean 6 person dome tent from 10 years ago. I also bought the footprint. Pros: very large. Nice to have enclosed area to store gear and shoes. Well thought out details, such as pockets, draw strings, color coded poles, hooks for lanters, etc. At 6'4", it is nice to be able to stand in the tent. Great duffle bag carrier. Set up and break down are quick for a tent of this size. Cons: instructions are limited, and there are a few tricks to getting the tent set up the first time. Set it up in your yard first. Must have 2 people to set it up. Directions on inside of bag are incomplete compared to previous version. Does not say how to fold tent. I would prefer metal poles, and would have liked an option to upgrade. Need to provide poles for "rear" door.
This tent was purchased as a Christmas gift for my son. He could not have been happier. I know if I purchased from L.L. Bean the quality would be exceptional and if he chose to return it their would be no problem. Of course he has no intention of returning it. Thank you.

This tent was received as a gift. The procedure for assembling the tent is easy, the poles are heavy duty and you don't feel like your going to break them. Plenty of room and the screen part of the tent is great for lounging when the bugs are bad. We put this tent to the ultimate test on vacation in the the mountains of North Carolina. Out of the seven days of camping it rained four. At night it poured! Four days of soaking rain with know relief, this tent stayed dry! To our surprise not one drop!! This tent is by far the best tent I have ever owned and would recommend this tent to everyone. Thank you LLBean for producing another great product!

Shipped on time arrived in a carry bag. We found the tent one of the easiest tents ever to assemble. The color coded corner straps make it easy to lay it out. 1st time up it took us about 20 minutes with 2 people. The fly was a little hard to figure out but again the color tabs make it pretty easy to do. Great height inside. I am tall and can stand up inside with no problem. 1st time out with it my wife and son went camping and were able to assemble the tent with little problem. I would definitely recommend this tent to even the most novice camper. Little tight if you use a lot of blow up mattresses. Other than that a superior product!
