This is so much more fun even than it looks! Little kids (and kids of all sizes) will enjoy rolling it around, and will only get a *little* impatient as it takes about 20 minutes more than you want it to before your ice cream is ready. Use half-n-half (or even lighter cream)...we used heavy cream and it was too "buttery" in the mouth the first time. If you ever see L.L. Bean carry the quart size, get it...you'll be glad you did!
This ice cream ball is awesome! It took just a tad longer than expected, but that was fine because it actually got my teenager to hang out with me... a rare occurrence! The ice cream was truly fabulous and very, very easy to make. I had bought it for camping but I can already see that we'll be using it at home even more. I recommend scraping the inside twice instead of just once and beware that it is pretty heavy. I can't imagine how heavy the quart size would be, but this was perfect for us at about 3 servings.
This item is awesome. We have used it twice so far and both times have been great~! We love the fact that we can entertain with it. Its a wonderful conversation piece and friends and family love it too~!
