The classic RAF Blue Sweater is the absolute best looking sweater a man can have. I've had mine for five years now...it never goes out of style...it's warm...the wool is thick..a little scratchy...but what good heavy duty wool isn't? And I usually pull this over a button down or a T-neck anyway...so what's the fuss? What I love best is how it holds its shape over the years and never looks worn or droopy or loose.
And my son's decided the sweater looks so good, yep...they said...Dad...Christmas....and pointed at my sweater.
This sweater is made as well or better than my Air Force sweater and it is as warm. So it is wool; that is a good thing in cold weather. A real classic. Good job LL Bean!!!
This sweater looked great on line, and when it arrived I found that it was just as warm, well-made and comfortable as I hoped. There was a problem, though - the color. I ordered what I thought was the tan color ( as shown online) and, when it arrived it turned out to be more of a yellow - almost a dull mustard color. I regretfully returned it.
