I'm 6 ft 168 lbs and the medium fits great. I have a few and just bought another in black. They're a great look, rugged, priced well, warm, comfortable. Favorite sweater actually.
Good looking, fits well. I am 6'1", 220 lbs, and the XL fits properly. I have always had a Commando Sweater since the 1980s. I like the Navy Heather color better than my old (another brand) Navy commando sweater, that has a moth hole in the sleeve. That gave me an excuse to buy another.:-) The weather is not cold enough to wear it yet, but if past experience is correct, it will do just fine.
I purchased this sweater in preparation for a Canadian fishing trip in September. I haven't stopped wearing it since it was delivered (sans washing\drying times). My interest in purchasing was that it reminded me of sweaters I had serving in the US Navy. The sweater is well constructed and better than sturdy. It is extremely comfortable and definitely keeps you warm. Perfect for layers while camping and out on the water. It looks good enough to wear to the office as well and definitely keeps you toasty warm. I am 6' and 195 lbs and purchased the extra large size, and it is indeed a bit bigger than a more suitable large size for my frame - but I did that purposely as I wear outer layers a bit bigger for ease of removing the layer as needed. It folds up nice and small to fit in a day pack and you can wear it for a few days without needing to wash it. If you have had your eye on this sweater, do yourself a favor and treat yourself. You will be more than glad that you did.
