I've wanted one of these for a while, but passed due to quality problems in surplus sweaters I saw. The LL Bean version is excellent, the tail is long and the fold out cuffs are very useful if your hands get cold and you have no gloves. Be advised, the "Deep Woods Green Heather" is brown. There may be a faint tinge of green to it with wishful thinking, but basically...it's brown. The sweater is quite warm and makes a great layer or substitute for a coat in 30*-40*F weather, and fits trimly without bagginess in the midsection. I will probably order another in navy or sable.
This is my third one purchased, this time a gift for my father. They do fit a bit more snugly, which I like. The wool wears well, and it is a warm and fashionable sweater for those times you need a commando style sweater. My father is wearing his every day.
Can't add much on what others have said. Not quite the stand-alone warmth-factory some have made it out to be, but durable, warm, versatile -I wear it shooting or over a shirt and tie walking to work). Really like this one- may order in more colors.
