After a lengthy backorder I finally received my new crewneck "commando" sweater. The sweater is 100% wool and VERY warm. Of course it's May and 96 degrees outside here in Florida, so I will not really be able to give this a proper field test until next winter. Note: the fit is "trim" on this sweater; prompts me to drop a few pounds this summer.
Great product. I bought in Deep Woods (Dark Green) Heather and Black. The product is first rate Merino wool. Know in advance that you will have about 2.5 inches of extra material at the cuffs. The dark green color can almost pass for brown, which is not a huge issue for me, but I was hoping for a dark green, not an in-between color as that one is. All in all, I highly recommend it.

I am 6'9", skinny, and have freakishly long arms. I ordered a LTall and with the cuffs rolled down, this sweater fits me perfectly. (That's right, my arms are THAT long 39") The quality is superb. It's soft and not too itchy. Big AND Tall clothing never fits me right, but this creative solution is my new go-to insulator. I finally own a sweater that actually covers my wrists. Keep it up, LL Bean!
