Good looking, sturdy, and warm. Wool is densely woven, and the cloth shoulder and elbow patches are both practical and stylish. Body is a bit longer than most sweaters, affording extra warmth in the upper thighs and seat. Close fitting, for a trim look and easy layering beneath a jacket (however, I'd agree with a previous reviewer that if you've got a paunch, this close-fitting sweater is probably not going to be a flattering look for you). Highly recommended!
ProsDurable, Performing as Expected, itchy but awesome
I used to have a Commando sweater at my old job and I found myself wearing it often in the winter months because it was very warm. The Commando sweater from LLBean does not disappoint. It is extremely warm and comfortable. It's a little itchy right out of the bag, but that will go away with time. These sweaters are designed to fit a little snug and they have unusually long sleeves. In fact, the sleeves were already rolled up at the wrists when I received it. This is a great work/hiking/outdoor-activity sweater.
Just got it in black, going to order Green..... so cool!!! Love it!! Great fit, great look, great value..Same thing for the blue jean sweaters. They feel well made and not like an old rag.
