As others have said, this sweater is form-fitting, flattering and quite warm as an outer or inner layer. The wool is a little scratchy, but I found it was still comfortable enough to wear over a t-shirt. I very much enjoy the understated, practical whilst stylish look. I wish that some of the other colors were available when I purchased, as I might have gotten a variety (the black one I got does look really good, though).
While I do find this sweater a good addition to my winter wardrobe, I don't know that I'd wear it as an outer layer if temperatures get below the 40s, but I suppose that could be subjective. I was hanging out in someone's backyard when the temperature was in the 20s and 30s and I definitely felt a bit of a chill after about 10 minutes outside - while the sweater is snug and tightly knitted, it only offers so much protection against the wind.
I did make one mistake with this sweater - I had it machine washed in warm water and it shrunk a little (label says hand wash, cold). It's still wearable and doesn't outwardly look any different on me, but it definitely feels a bit tighter now than it did before the mixup and is perhaps a bit shorter in the sleeves and torso. Live and learn, no big deal.
I might just have to get another one of these for next fall/winter!
I got this sweater for my hubby and he loves it. The style fits and flatters him well. It is very warm for those cold winter days. He said he would recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish yet functional sweater. Only one complaint is that the color ordered of "Deep Woods Green Heather" looks more brown than green. Other than that, it is perfect!
