Pretty darn good. It's not 100% protection against biting winds, but it's thick. It's not cut to form, so it's a tad boxy. But overall, I like it, Wish it was a bit more form fitting
Received this sweater as a gift. Weather finally got cold enough to wear it; it fits like it was made for me. I love the color, mine is the Deep Woods Green Heather; although, when I was in the Army, we would have called it Olive Drab. I would definitely buy a sweater like this again.
Sleeves are comically long (even if fold them a bit) and length way too long too. If I don't fold in the bottom of the sweater it covers my entire butt like a skirt (I imagine). I don't want to try to shrink it because then it would be too tight in the chest. I never had this issue with other sweaters.
Sizing aside, the quality and feel are great. After one warm water wash it was less itchy without any shrinking. Very warm in cold temps.
I got this to resemble the sweater Bond wore in NTTD. I think this one is slightly brighter blue but overall a pretty close match.
I want to give this five stars but the sizing is just junk. LL Bean should try to make a normal sized sweater.
