I’m 6’4” with 35” sleeve, 200lbs. The medium fits very well without being too tight, adjustable cuffs help get the right sleeve length while still being form fitting which is part of why I bought this. Started out with a size large tall and it was huge, probably would have shrunk down some over time but not enough. Wool is very warm but breathable, not as scratchy once washed a time or two. Definitely follow wash instructions carefully and only air dry. Will be purchasing more or these for sure!
original. Don’t misunderstand me, it’s like the original in most every way; save one. Read on. It’s great, 100% wool and I absolutely love it; fit and finish. However, my original L.L. Bean Commando Sweater, that’s lasted over 30 years and still going strong was made in England. This one is made in China. Only time will tell. And, this version has some very large shoes to fill!
I bought two different versions of this sweater, an XL regular and an XL Tall. The XL tall was absurdly long the sweater made it past my butt. The XL regular was a good fit in the torso, however the arms were so long that they bunched up like a bulldogs flaps. This is really unusual because my wingspan is large compared to my height. Overall I think there is massive sizing and fit discrepancies.
