Typical LL Bean quality, very good, and as advertised. I purchased this for a cold weather trip and have tested it in 40 degree weather. It is warm, of top quality and every bit the quality I've come to expect from Bean. I recommend this garment for those looking for a comfortable, warm quality sweater.
This sweater is an okay value. Construction and tailoring are better than most Bean clothes, which seem to be made for round-ish shapes these days. It's warm yet breathes very well, as you would expect from wool. However, the fabric is pilling quite a bit, even after only a few wearings. Not sure how well it will hold up, but I would rather just keep a piece of clothing for a long time and not have to use the "warranty".
