I have two drawers full of wool sweaters.Lambswool, merino wool, shetland and cashmere/wool blends. It is 20 degrees in Wisconsin today complements of Global Warming. This sweater is truly a warm and cozy sweater which will be held in abeyance and used when a Polar Express declares itself as the final word on Global Warming.
Nice sweater! I had a similar sweater years ago when I was in the Military (but hardly a "Commando"). Anyway, this sweater stacks up well to the original. It's warm, seems durable, and true to size. My only caution is the "green" color tends far to the brown side of the color spectrum. It's not the Olive Green color we had years ago.
I agree with what other reviewers have said. This is not a British MoD wolly pully, but a Chinese copy, made with inferior wool. It looks well enough when new, but after a short term of wear, it is no longer presentable. I can only wear mine for doing household chores and gardening. I suggest you look for the real thing, available at not a not much higher price.
