We needed a fleece sleeping bag for each of us, so this last one completed our set. These fleece bags are so soft and warm with very little weight. We use them for everything from keeping warm on the couch, a blanket in my 3 year olds wagon and in the car when we go on trips. The zippers are top quality. I highly recommend the fleece bag as they are great for year round use.
I used this with the Sea to Summit Silk Sleeping Bag Liner for an extra layer during a trip on a dive boat during warmer weather. I highly recommend it.
...I do not recommend the optional monograming. I bought several as gifts for nieces and nephews and had several of them monogramed. Due to the limited color choices, ( I hate the prints so that leaves berry, navy and forrest. In the case of 3 young sisters as recipients I had to order 3 berry colored bags(there is no purple, lime or tiffany blue, the other girl colors) and in order to tell them apart had to monogram. The bags are roomy cozy and warm(though they will cause berry colored piling on your socks if worn inside the bag).The zippers seem good. The monograms were disappointing. The print is small, unimpressive and the stitching is grey, not matching the color of the bags at all. It leaves a stiff, scratchy backing inside the bag under the monogram and is placed at the top of the bag off center and at an odd skewed angle. It kind of ruined the looks and feel of the bag. The stitching should be larger, centered, soft, supple and coordinate with the color of the bag. A cheap and cheesy looking monogram that takes away from the bag. Very disappointed in the monograms and you don't know how they will look until you get it because LL Bean does not even show a photo of a bag that has actually been monogramed. They should! Buy the bag but skip the awful monogram. And it would be nice if they added more kid appealing colors. Color choices are ok but limiting and conservative.The berry is nice but would like to see additional good colors so that all sisters don't have to receive the same color.
