We live at the 3200 foot elevation in Hawaii. It does get cold (for Hawaii). We used it as a lap blanket and it was soft and warm for the cooler end of winter. We also took it camping near the ocean and when the chilly early morning air hit, it was just right! Kept us warm but was light and small enough to pack easily! Iʻm going to try it with our other sleeping bags when we head up the mountain in the fall. Bet itʻll be the perfect layer to keep the chill away!
I bought one several years ago and it's still in great condition. I use it for traveling when I sleep in hotels-don't trust hotel sheets. Instead of rolling it up which takes up more space in my luggage, I just fold it in half. Washes well in top load washer on gentle cycle. I had to buy another one because my son kept wanting to use mine.
My 10 year old daughter needed a sleeping bag for sleepovers that would be "cool" and still keep her warm. This does both....we even personalized it with her name and she was very happy and got lots of compliments on her new sleeping bag. Great choice
My husband and I are campers and bought these for light sleeping bags for which they are great. But we now use these year round, for camping in the summer and as extra warmth for sleeping in the cold winter months, or as a light cozy lap blanket for TV watching. Washes well - I have a top loading washer which they cautioned against using, but that is all I had, so have been washing on gentle/hand-wash cycle for several years with no problem. I would love to buy more for the delicious colors, but the originals are holding up so well that I can't really justify it...
