This is a fantastic sleeping bag for camping in warm/hot weather. We own four of them and every one of them has survived multiple camping trips along with plenty of time in the washer & dryer and they all still look the same as the day we bought them. If we ever need more I will buy these again in a heartbeat!
We have a very small camping van with twin beds. These are the perfect weight for all but the hottest summer months. I also made sleep sacks from LL Bean queen-sized flannel sheets that we either sleep in, or use as a top blanket in the summer.
I bought two of these fleece bags in cornflower blue, for frequent use as sleeping bag liners on scout and family camping, and for occasional use as easily-washed, stand-alone slumber bags for indoor sleepovers. I'm very pleased! Even after just one washing, I can tell the fleece will hold up nicely over the long life of abuse we intend to provide. Coleman's cheaper fleece bag liner has only one elastic loop (which drives me crazy, 'cause it's on one side; what were they thinking?), no strap, and a rather pillier fleece than Bean's. It was very much worth four extra dollars or so to buy Bean's version. I haven't weighed the two brands, but they feel equivalent. If you're not lightweight backpacking, no perceptible difference. I noticed two lower-scored reviews from Bean buyers who didn't realize these are simple fleece bags -- yes, just one layer of good quality fleece with a nice, sturdy zipper, two elastic loops and a strap. That's it. If friction from flannel jammies or sweats bothers you, consider lining these bags with a percale sheet or a poly or silk liner or something. (And yes, sleeping fleece to fleece will create some fun sparks when you roll over!)
