It's been a favorite warm-weather bag on its own, it's boosted my 30-degree bag's warmth to zero-degrees, and I cannot sleep without it anymore as the bottom layer of blankets on my bed when it's absolutely freezing outside. I am buying another to keep in my car, because I loved having it in there for a day or two when it was freezing cold as a lap blanket until my car warmed up. And even for just laying around watching TV with...this is about as useful as can be!
For several years now, the only time I've gone camping is in July and August. Usually the nights are way too hot and humid for my regular sleeping bag. This fleece bag, however, is just right. It's only one layer of fleece, so it breathes; because it's fleece, it's soft; and it's lighter and takes up less space than the regular bag. I've also taken it on winter/spring trips to a cabin, where it works just fine as another layer on the bed. The attached elastic straps are easy to slip over the rolled-up bag.
I believe my children will thoroughly enjoy these sleeping bags for years to come. I was surprised when we received them that they are fleece on the outside as well as the inside. I couldn't tell that from the picture. Hopefully, they will hold up.
I received as a Christmas gift and put this product to the test in the Georgia Mountains when it was unusually COLD this weekend. Woke up to single digit temps in a tent & light snow. I had lined my 30 degree sleeping bag with this bag, and found it quite comfortable & warm. Warmed up quickly after a long day outdoors. GREAT product, that is versatile for camping or at home.
