I have had 2 of these bags for over 10 years. They have held up well to many uses/washes, although the elastic straps are starting to go. We use them for summer camping (more frequently than our sleeping bags). They are also great for the couch, the cabin, the car, picnics, and the beach (unzipped).
I bought this bag for myself, and as gifts for family members, because we live just far enough from one another, that we often will stay the night when visiting. Instead of having to wash sheets after one overnight, we use these bags. I personalized them, so every one has their own. Everyone loved them! They are comfortable, and the perfect weight for an indoor bag. In colder weather, an additional small down throw or blanket might be necessary, but other wise, they are perfect and cozy. So far, the fabric has not started to "pill" and is very soft and comfy. I highly recommend as an alternative to a heavy sleeping bag, or a liner to your heavier bag, if needed..
As the owner of a Polartec Fleece camping bag made by LL Bean, purchased many years ago, I can tell you this made in China fleece bag is not the same quality as the bag that was made in the USA using Polartec. The fleece is different. The two bags, while having the same zipper, will not zip together. I have not yet used the new bag so cannot attest as to warmth or comfort but if you already own an LL Polartec Fleece bag be warned this is not the same quality. Malden Mills Polartec is a superior product.
This is a nice large item, good for someone over 6feet or under 5. It will work. It is heavy and will keep one warm, machine wash and dry. I got two in different colours and love them
