Being an avid outdoorsman I was looking for a knife that would be just the right size for small game and birds. This knife is perfect for the task. Its just small enough for what I need, yet big enough to handle most any chore in the woods. I've used it a number of times already and even though the blade is stainless steel, it holds an edge really well. Its the type of knife you like to have with you whenever you go into the woods.
An excellent overall knife for small and large tasks. I gutted out my 7pt buck this fall no problem. Carry this around during all your year round outdoor sporting excursions. You won't be disappointed. I love the ll bean logo on the knife. It stands for quality and lifelong satisfaction. Enough said.
This knife feels great in my hand. I feel I can get a very good grip when using it and the blade is the perfect length for what I plan on using it for (a camp knife). My hand is on the smaller size and the grip feels great for me. It may be to small for someone with a larger hand like many of the reviews have said.
