I bought this bag for my nephew several years ago at his Mom's request. At the time, my kids had pretty cotton bags from a competitor. Pretty, but not warm! When they got old enough for outdoor camping, I decided to "trade up" to this one. I have one kid who is hot all the time, and one who is always cold, so I wasn't sure about the flannel lining. They both love it! They love their name monogrammed on the bag too! Another great LL Bean product!
p.s. my only complaint is that the colors on the website aren't really accurate. We recently ordered the green, and it is actually darker than the picture shows.
We bought two of the junior sized bags for our daughters. This spring we took them on their first camping trip and the bags were a big hit! These bags definitely kept the girls warm on the cool nights and will serve them well for many years to come.
I ordered two of these bags for our sons several years ago for summer camp. Before going they declared "LLBean isn't cool", but they came back from camp really excited about how "really great" their bags were. First, they were warm while several of their friends (who posessed more expensive bags) were not and secondly the other kids thought their monogramed stuff sacks were "really awsome" and wanted to know where they got them. I guess LL Bean really is cool. They have used their bags constantly since then, in fact our oldest took his to college with him last year and our youngest will be doing the same this year.
