Camp Sleeping Bag and Pillow
PostedMay 1, 2009
Excellent choice -- I have 4 grandchildren and as each birthday comes along I will definitely order one for each of them. Also, the pillow is the right size for the sleeping bag. I was very impressed with the quality when I saw the sleeping bag and pillow.

High Quality Bag Priced Right
PostedApril 21, 2009
I recently purchased the 40 degree regular-size camp bag in Canoe Green. After comparing the prices on other brands of bags, the LLBean Camp Bag was the best value.
I was most impressed by the construction of the bag. The nylon exterior is tough and brushed so that the bag doesn't slide around as you're rolling it up or sleeping (I had friends growing up who owned LLBean's shiny nylon bags and they would constantly slide off of the plastic mattresses on Girl Scout camp outs!)
The bottom of the bag has very long web straps with buckles (like the buckles on the waist straps of the LLBean backpacks), which make rolling up the bag very easy.
The zipper is extremely sturdy (like the zippers on LLBean backpacks) and I like the velcro flap at the top of the bag, which keeps the bag together in case the zipper comes undone. The flap can be folded out of the way if you don't need it.
The flannel lining is extremely durable, but also quite soft. The stuff sack is generously sized so that I can literally stuff the bag into it if I don't feel like rolling it up. It also has handles on both the size and one end so that you can carry it either way.
I've been using the bag as a comforter until I can get out camping. Since I live in NH, it will be a little while until I can camp comfortably (I'm always cold). Lastly, I like the monogrammed "LLBean" on the top of the sleeping bag.

Not for "serious" campers
PostedApril 17, 2009
I would recommend this for people who do campground camping, either in tents or campers, or for kids sleepovers. It is far too big and bulky for any kind of serious trekking or backpacking where weight and space are an issue.
My 13 year old has been in love with this sleeping bag for her sleep overs because of its very soft and cushy lining, and because of its SILENT exterior fabric! The zipper cover at the top is a nice detail. She does not have to fight with it while rolling it up to get it into its very roomy carrying case, as we do when we are repacking our "serious" sleeping bags.
Takes up an enormous amount of space and weight, but is just lovely for home-style use.
